Blog 13: Revision of CAT 1

In "The Danger of Reality TV " Timothy Sexton shows that how reality TV shows effect young people. He starts his passage with saying, some dangerous message are sending out such us importance of competition or obsolescence of education by these kind of reality TV shows. On the second paragraph, he gives us some example about TV shows, which shows idea the life is nothing but competition is important. However writer says that people who has qualified are usually lose in these competition. Because hipper image is more important for them. He supports this sentences by giving  an example from American Idol. Moreover he points out that most dangerous message of these TV shows is education is unnecessary for young people. They claim that joining those king of TV shows and making some money easily is much better than going to the school and facing difficult of learning something.

As a person who doesn't like to watch those kind of TV shows, I totally agree with the idea of "The Danger of Reality  TV". I strongly believe, watching those kind of TV shows effects people's life badly such as, makes young people feel not going to the school, try to keep people watching those TV shows and keep them uneducated, and outside appearance of person is more important than his ability.

First of all i believe that reality TV shows effect young people in a negative way. Recently i pay attention that those kind of TV shows is getting more popular among young people, and most of the contenders are twenty years contestants who joints those TV shows. According to me those kind of TV shows make young people feel not going to the school, because producer of these TV shows make young people think that money is more important for their life. Thus most of them prefer to join those TV shows rather than doing their education. For example if we watch American Idol we can see most of contenders are young people.

Second of all I strongly believe that one of  the biggest purpose of producers is make people keep watching those TV shows everyday, and keep them uneducated. Because these TV shows doesn't teach us anything or give us any useful information about something. I think, they make those TV shows popular among people on purpose. Because instead of making those kind of TV shows, if they make some other programs which enlighten people,it is not going to good for them. Otherwise, people could see what is true and beneficial for their life, and they may stop watching those kind of TV shows. Because eventually they will be enlightened people.

However, those TV shows require outside appearance of people  is more important than their ability. According to them, being less attractive doesn't take people's attention, and they claim that mostly people pay attention their outside appearance such us, being beautiful, and sexy for girls or being handsome or in a good shape for boys. Therefore ability comes later. Maybe that is why we don't have and ugly female and male singer in America.

In conclusion, watching reality TV shows everyday doesn't benefit people. I believe those TV shows take people away from the real life and make them  their slave by watching their products. I recommend people watching other programs which are good for their life and show them real things.
